William: A Man's Man

Isn't this a sweet picture?! William loves his daddy. Every time daddy comes home William insists on being held. If fact, if Will doesn't get held right away he starts trying to climb up daddy and makes very urgent sounding noises. Once when he was desperately hungry and still wanted daddy it was kind of funny. I was holding him and he reached out for daddy. I handed him over. He quickly realized that dad couldn't feed him and looked over at me like, "Hey why aren't you feeding me!?!?" Even hunger does not stop his need for daddy. We ended up passing him back and forth a couple of times.

William is going to be man's man. He loves to be held by other men because, I think, he already identifies with the male gender. He wants to emulate them at the young age of eight months. Maybe he is a little young to know, but I like to think of it that way. ;) He escaped from us on Sunday and crawled to our friends in the row in front of us. (He was very clever, he made it almost impossible for us to get him back.) While he loved being held by my friend Nicole, he wanted to go see her husband. He was very content for quite some time. He didn't even know him very well, he liked him because he was male (he's a great guy too though ;) He is always very interested in his grandpas and wants to know what they are doing. When "the kids" (the joy school kids) come to play he always wants to hang out with the boys.

Nate, I think you have come up with a new snugli (baby carrier) design. Just tuck your shirt in.
